This is a letter written (with a little help) by the baby of one of our clients.

December 15, 2009

Dear Friend,

I was just eight weeks old in my mommy's tummy that day we arrived at the Center for Pregnancy Choices. My mommy thought she was at an abortion clinic. She didn't realize that she had come to a place where people were concerned about me and valued my life, something that mommy had been trying not to think about. She hadn't thought of me, yet, as her daughter, just a "problem" to get rid of. I know that God allowed her to arrive at those doors instead of an actual abortion clinic. He wanted her to hear what they had to say.

Mommy listened to the lady read from God's Word, sharing that my life was created in God's image. At first, Mommy was determined that she could not have me. Then she started to cry. She didn't know what to do. It was a very hard decision.

The CPC made an appointment for mommy to go to the doctor to see how far along she was. When Mommy saw me on the screen, she knew that I was her baby. In my mommy's search for answers, she read a little booklet that the lady at the CPC had given her. She realized I was fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator. My life was not an accident, but actually all in the plan of God. She knew that she could not take my life.

I was born on September 29th, so now I am eleven weeks old. Everyone says I am so beautiful. Mommy loves me so much and can't imagine not having me. We are grateful to God for saving my life and for keeping my mommy from experiencing the grief of making a terrible mistake.

God has been so good to us. We now have a new apartment to live in and are going to church where they teach us God's Word. The pastor helps minister to my mommy's heart.

Mommy and I still go to the center frequently for classes or just to visit. We love the ladies who work there. They mean so much to both of us. Your support allows these ladies to minister to so many mommies who need help, just like my mommy did.

Because you care, I will be celebrating my first Christmas with my mommy, big sister, Maw Maw and Paw Paw. I can't wait. Jesus' birth means so much to me.

Love,

Alexis
